Don't Click here
It can be tempting for those of use who write web copy to act as a webpage tour guide for our users all of the time, but it really is not neccessary, we need to give users more credit! One classic example is links that contain the phrase "Click here", as in "Click here for more information".
Don't put verbs in your link text. Instead of:
Click here for more information about Kahu's Kitchen, a beauty to behold!
write:
Kahu's Kitchen is a beauty to behold!
The user know that if you click on the linked text, you will get more information, that is the whole point of Hypertext and the world wide web. Also, their is no need to describe the mechanics of how clicking and linking and web pages works in your web copy. People are not really that interested and would prefer to just get to the interesting information that they came to your site for in the first place!
w3c have a great page on "Click here" and how to write web copy.
